Nominating Committee Appointed
A three-member committee has been appointed to receive nominations from volunteers interested in serving as credit union directors. Members First election rules adhere to guidelines set by the Credit Union Department of the State of Texas. These rules ensure that directors are in good standing with Members First Credit Union, are insurable for bonding purposes, and receive approval to serve by the Credit Union Department.
Election Guidelines for Director Applicants:
Members interested in running for a position on the Board of Directors must submit the following:
- Resume for background information.
- Completed Director Application and Agreement to Serve form.
A credit history and current standing with the credit union will be reviewed as part of the approval process. Approved candidates will be included for upcoming vacancies on the Board of Directors.
Applicants not approved by the nominating committee will be referred to the Board of Directors for review. These members may be selected as candidates upon Board approval. Unselected applicants will receive a written explanation for disapproval, which will also be communicated to the Credit Union Department of the State of Texas.
Interested parties must submit their application by December 15, 2025, before the Annual Meeting on Tuesday, February 24, 2026, at our Main Office at 5444 S Staples St. Nominations will not be accepted after this deadline, and nominations may not be made from the floor of the Annual Meeting.
