09/24/2021: Oppose New IRS Reporting Provisions

Members First Credit Union wants our members to be informed regarding proposed public policy changes that could affect them.  Currently, Congress is considering a proposal that would require credit unions and other financial institutions to report to the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) the deposits and withdrawals of a personal or business account that has a balance more than $600.  This proposal could jeopardize our member’s personal financial privacy and cause unnecessary burdens on credit unions and community banks nationwide.  The Credit Union National Association (CUNA) has created a page where you can enter your information to let your elected representatives know that you oppose these new IRS reporting provisions.
